CHARLTON BROWN offers the Certificate III in Aged Care Work to students wishing to enter the Aged Care industry. Aged Care is presently one of the fastest growing industries worldwide.

After completing the three month course, graduates can expect to gain employment in an aged care facility or even as a companion or personal care worker in a home setting.

Certificate III is also a fantastic pathway to other health care professions such as nursing.

Throughout the course, students are required to complete practical work at a Residential Aged Care Facility. During this time students can discover what it is like to work in the industry and gain valuable hands-on experience, putting their classroom theory into practice.

After completion of the Certificate III in Aged Care Work, or if you satisfy the pre-requisite criteria, you may wish to continue your study to upgrade your qualification to the Certificate IV in Aged Care Work.

This course consists of both theoretical and practical components, with courses in Communication and Identifying the Heart and Humour of Aged Care, and a placement at a Residential Aged Care Facility, gaining valuable practical experience in applying your knowledge in a ‘real’ setting.

Students who have studied their Certificate IV can look forward to further education opportunities in the health and community care sectors. You can even double your training with another community services qualification such as Certificate IV in Disability Care.
